The New Year's Eve celebration at the
clubhouse started at dusk and lasted several hours.
About forty residents and their friends were present.
Most attendees had arrived at the subdivision within
the last few days. The roads in the area were in good
condition with little snow cover.
High winds had been blowing across the area all day
and the clubhouse weather station recorded wind gusts up
to 55 mph. The temperature was a cool 20 degrees.
The bonfire was postponed due to the dry
surface conditions and the high winds. Despite the
postponement the atmosphere at the clubhouse was cheerful.
